Ride Type: Group Endurance / Fitness Systems Training Road Ride
Start Location: Bonsall Community Church (about 200 meters S of Hwy 76 on Camino Del Rey)
Start Time: 9:00 AM
Finish Time: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Distance: 60 to 100+ miles
Climbing: Very hilly. 5,000 to 10,000+ feet
Difficulty: Moderately hard to very hard
Riders: 10-15
Ride Leader: See below
Ride Description:
The ride takes a different route each week and is done mostly at a conversational pace with some spirited climbing for those interested. Since we could easily get lost on some of these rides, we always regroup at the tops of the climbs, stop for flats or other bike trouble. If you are serious about getting the most out of your rides for training purposes, this is NOT the ride for you. We always stop somewhere mid-ride for about ½ hour to socialize, eat, and rehydrate.
There is no ride leader, but Pete Penseyres sends out an e-mail announcement based on suggestions from the previous weeks’ riders. Contact: Pete to be included on the mailing list.
